Research On The Rating And Classification System Of Chinese Animation Industry

As one of the sunrise industry in twenty-first century, animation industry is highly valued and actively promoted by many countries. Recent years have witnessed the rapid development of Chinese animation industry. But at the same time, defects caused by the lack of rating and classification management policy has been fully exposed, what lead to the situation that overall industry competitive ability level is not high enough. It means that neither the market value nor the criticism can compete with foreign works. What was worse, the lack of rating system also raises some social problems, what make it is difficult to balance economic and social benefits. Based on literature analysis, with the analysis of real cases and internet questionnaire, this thesis analyzes the history of Chinese animation industry development and the existing problems, and learn from Japanese and American ACG industry rating experience to respectively find out the classification management rules of every joint of the industry chain——conception, creation, investment, censorship and marketing, and try to draw up a concrete and implementable policy of Chinese animation industry rating and classification system.
