Second Generation Of Bamboo Flute Players’ Contributions To The Bamboo Flute Art In New China

China has made rapid progress in it’s political, economic and cultural development since its establishment. And the national music has also got great development with our government’s support. Under these circumstances, bamboo flute music made huge contribution to our national music. Many outstanding performers have sprung up and they have made great efforts in bamboo flute music performing, composing, educating and instrument improvment. However, some flaws can also be found in these aspects and in the aspect of the study of its performers.In this paper, the bamboo flute performers will be devided into four generations since the new China. This paper will mainly focus on the study of the second generation. It includes the study of their life, performing styles, composition and teaching. It also analyses and summarizes the contribution they have done to the development of bamboo flute music. Meanwhile, some flaws are also mentioned in this paper. In the final part, personal views of future bamboo flute music’s development have been proposed.
