Guan Yongji was a influential novelists and the advocate of local literature in Occupied areas of North China,with distinct characteristics no matter in theory or in practice.But so far there is little research about him. In the special context, the writers in occupied areas contradicted whether "speaking" or "shutting",and different writers have different writing mentality and living condition.So,how did they write under the special environment of space and time is undoubtedly worthy of today’s academic research and mining.This paper mainly focuses on the typical character image in Guan Yongji’s novels-"the stranger",trying to explore the hidden information under the special background.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction of the paper.It Introduced the research object and briefly explain the cause of the selected topic and the research significance,meanwhile, it summarized the present research results of the author Guan Yongji.and illustrated the theoretical basis of this article, research methods and research ideas.The second part mainly teased typical characters in the works-"the stranger" This part firstly defined "the stranger",then combining with the text, summarized the characterization of "the stranger", on the one hand, in the aspect of space, "the stranger" always can not find belonging, and always nowhere to live in a state of migration, which is often comes from the living space and environmental heterogeneity; On the other hand, in the aspect of time, in desperate condition, they often choose to recall the old good days in hometown.This behavior expressed nostalgia, and it suggested that those happy old days that had been experienced in hometown just missing in today’s real life.The third part is the core part of the paper.It deeply analyses the characterization of "the stranger",mainly using the theory of National Fable from F.R.Jameson.On the basis of the inspection of the writing mentality of the author, it explored the deep implicature and the author’s writing purpose,combining with the particularity of space and time background and specific historical materials.It found that in the works,the identity crisis of the stranger produced from the wandering between urban and rural areas compared to the crisis of national identity of the people in occupied areas;the behavior of recalling the old good days in hometown compared to the people in occupied missing the state of unified nation and table life in the past.obscurely expressing the common national psychology at that time;the closed and the darkness of the living space and the fate of subversion compared to the living circumstances in the occupied areas.The fourth part is the conclusion based on the above research.It concluded that,in fact the writing of "the stranger" expressed the pain related to the time and nation,and it revealed the reality obscurely.Through a close reading of the works, it Summed up the characteristics and had a in-depth analysis of "the stranger" on the basis of the theory of National Fable from F.R.Jameson and the text and the historical data,then explored the deep implicature and the real intention of the author.As an experiencer of the Collective memory,Guan Yongji shouldered the historical mission consciously and practiced the realism in his own way.He recorded the reality, exposed the reality, and profoundly revealed the reality using a special kind of text strategies, and he composed the the Scene in occupied areas, which contains a bright national consciousness. The paper studies is a kind of deep and supplement both the writer Guan Yongji or the other writers and their works in occupied areas.
