China is a multinational country. And its multiculture promoted a continuous development of Chinese during the past 5,000 years. Among the Chinese culture, Korean Chinese culture is an outstanding one. It shows its connotation to all the other ethnics through its unique and distinctive ways.The Korean flute is a representative musical instrument in Korean Chinese culture. With a distinctive way and a moving sound, it leaves a deep influence on Korean Chinese people’s life and work. Besides, it also shows the characteristics and connotation of Korean Chinese music. Therefore, it has always been deeply loved by Korean Chinese. In the mean time, Chinese culture experienced the changes of histories and dynasties during the past thousands of years, breeding a rich culture with generous, elegant, restraining and implicit aesthetic characteristics, while flute is the best reflection of these aesthetic characteristics. The Han Chinese flute influences both Chinese music and its aesthetics. Since a long time ago, flute has showed its distinctive characteristics with an elegant style and an euphemistic way, and also expressed the generous, kind and gentle characteristics of Chinese.This thesis described histories, structures and performing methods of both Korean Chinese flute and Han Chinese flute, compared the similarities and differences and analyzed the reasons. It analyzed based on philosophy and aesthetics of Korean Chinese and Han Chinese for a best outcome.
