Han ShaoGong is an outstanding writer in contemporary, after AN SHI, RI YE SHU is another masterpieces, which takes youth as breakthrough point to reflect history, at the same time focuses on their realistic life and spiritual experience. This book reflects their confusion during the period of political, social, economic and cultural reform, and reveal the insignificance of value of life. Youth movement ended more than 30 years. We have a proper distance to recall the crazy years, think about impact of youth movement on that generation.Youth literature can be roughly divided into "the period of educated youth literature", "youth reminiscing about literature" "after the educated youth literature". Early novel of Han ShaoGong is in accordance with the development of Youth literature, but not limited to it. Getting rid of the narrow of youth story, Han ShaoGong think transcendently in philosophical view from the beginning of "finding root". as the "history of the educated youth, RI YE SHU is the peak of youth literature. Han ShaoGong maked a reflection on youth history in a new way. Han ShaoGong has been concentrated on youth’s living condition since 1970s. RI YE SHU express the desire for honest folkway of countryside, and objectively described the plight of the educated youth. In RI YE SHU, Han ShaoGong uses a lot of ink to describe the subtle relations between men and women. The process of reflect on human sex, seems to contains the comparison between rough view of sex in countryside and civilized view of sex in modern city. The book express Han’s spiritual doubt to youth generation, by describing the life, living condition and secrete sex of youth. Also Confusion and worry about the future of the author could be felt in the RI YE SMU, including confusion of value of life.
