There are a lot of food culture words in chinese and most have metaphorical meaning, their meaning is very rich and is hard to understand. That is the difficulties in studying chinese to the senior stage of foreign students. This article selects the words with metaphorical meaning in HSK as the research object, To make exploration and analysis of the food culture words in food material, cooking methods, taste, tableware, etc. Articles of yunnan university students know about diet metaphor study tendency and degree of questionnaires, inspects the student to the diet metaphor and master degree. Found that the students’cognitive sensitivity is not high for food culture words which contain metaphorical meaning,and has not yet formed a kind of ability of cognize with metaphorical thinking.Therefore,when studying some metaphorical words about food culture,we should enhance the integration of cultural awareness in learning.On this basis, the article also in diet taste words in the outline of HSK, for example the concrete teaching of Chinese vocabulary metaphor theory to students of the experimental analysis, the results found that metaphor theory approach to metaphor in teaching contains cultural words have actively promote help function. Finally, according to senior level students are learning some social cultural factors of high content, the characteristics of vocabulary metaphor from the perspective of Chinese as a foreign language teacher put forward the following teaching strategies:activate the metaphor awareness, establishing the connection between the concept of domain, understand the relationship between implies the polysemy of words, focusing on the relationship between metaphor and culture, attaches great importance to the comparison of Chinese and western culture, combined with the context, architecture metaphor recognition using ability.
