Lahu is unique in Yunnan nationalities, it is in southwest of Yunnan province, mainly in Pu ’er city and Lincang city on both sides of the Lancang river. In the long history, Lahu has created a rich and colorful, brilliant varied literature, magnificent majestic’s myths and legends, the massive migration epic summer, interesting folk stories, enthusiastic folk songs, etc., these literary works mostly in the form of oral literature has been passed down from generations, and in the process of sung about and continually get rich and full. Lahu live in geographical which environment is given priority to much mountains and forests, own a wide variety of animals, rich in a wide range of animal resources has become an important material foundation to the survival of Lahu, essential animals became an important part of life. In the Lahu, colorful folk literature about animals as the main body of folk stories abound, embody a concentrated reflection of Lahu is so intertwined with animals. The research to Lahu animal story about narrative is to explore the Lahu spectacular culture and an important breakthrough point of deep culture connotation.This paper mainly on the theory of narratology, folk literature, perspective and methods, more than one hundred and twenty animal story narrative analysis of Lahu, concrete application of the theory are mainly V.Propp’s theory of "narration function", and Tzvetan Todorov’s theory of "narrative syntax" and Mr Raymond’s theory of "the sequence", etc. Article summarizes the Lahu animal story narrative types, sums up the most Lahu ethnic characteristics, the most typical three kinds of narrative theme, this paper analyzes the surface structure of Lahu animal stories, namely, the arrangement of the plot and plot the connection between rule, and the narration of the story of Lahu animals image interpretation and analysis.
