Interactive Distance Learning Method is a new mode of education using modern information technology to support interactive based language teaching, which is different from traditional student-teacher education method.Chinese language teaching using the Interactive Distance Learning model, is an extension of Chinese educational resources, using flexible places, reducing the cost of education and other interactive advantages. Interactive Distance Education is an important way to expand the availability of Chinese sourced education in the United States. Researching Chinese textbooks combined with Interactive Distance Learning and children in the US enriched the study of foreign language teaching materials.Confucius Institute at the University of Kansas has developed the use of Interactive Distance Learning model for a considerable time. In this paper, taking the Confucius Institute at the University of Kansas as an example, analysis the Chinese text book under interactive distance learning from different perspectives.The first chapter of this paper analyzes research on Interactive Distance Learning model and Chinese textbooks for children who learning Chinese as a second language. Chapter two analyzes Chinese textbooks written concepts and principles in United States through Interactive Distance Learning, taking the Chinese textbook in Confucius Institute at the University of Kansas for example. The third chapter analyzes K-5 Chinese textbook using in Confucius Institute at the University of Kansas from textbook outline, writing style, text materials, classroom design and test. The final concluding section briefly describes the characteristics of the United States under Interactive Distance Learning model.
