Recontextualization Study Of Contemporary Painting Art

The "Recontextualization", which has been introduced in linguistics by Per Linell, is a concept based on pedagogy, proposed by a socialist Basil Bernstein. From the point of view of the art domain, the contextualization, as an art context, is closely related to the development of contemporary art. The recontextualization in the art of painting, is briefly summarized as a transfer of imagery expressed in existed art context, to another art context. This means that we extract the contextual elements in which original imagery elements are contained, then reform them subjectively, and put them in a new context, so as to form new significance in new linguistic environment. The recontextualization in linguistics, is no doubt a very helpful theoretical base to the comprehension of the recontextualization in art domain. Not only does it give total freedom to artists in recontextualization creation, but also gives a sense of mystery to art creation, and thus leads the viewers to a subjective thought of the indication, instead of an objective and direct perception of the image.The research of this dissertation is based on the phenomenon of recontextualization in contemporary paintings. In an interdisciplinary way, The diffusion of recontextualization of art context is deliberated, so as to satisfy the tendency of art development, and the need of information in art practice. By analyzing the art environment, art creation and artists, the influence of contextual dislocation, contextual substitution and contextual reconstrucion to the art recontextualization is deliberated. This deliberation can be served as an efficient combination of art recontextualization and creation of art works, and as a clarification to the aspects that should be contained in a successful diffusion and comprehension of the art recontextualization. Therefore, the maximization of efficiency in practice of art recontextualization can be expected. The research of this dissertation is based on 5 main branches.Part â…  is a description of the motivation of the author, the meaning and targets of the research, the actuality of domestic and foreign research in this subject etc. Part â…¡ starts from the origin of the word recontextualization, to the art recontextualization, then to the transfer of recontextualization from social pedagogy to art creature. This part is served as the preposition of its practice in contemporary painting. Part III is the analysis of recontextualizational methodology in art creature, based on the creation viewpoint, creation methodology, and diffusion of imageries, affected by art recontextualization. Part IV is a research of the diffusion methodology of art recontextualization, based on the recontextualization of historical art elements and creatures of notorious artists. Part V is a discussion of negatives of the overwhelming forms of art contexts, and the value of existence of art recontextualization.
