"Sheng" is a distinctive verbal measure word which shows a concomitant consequence in Chinese, and it is always composed to a numeral-measure word phrase which is used as complement frequently with the word "yi".In this thesis, I collected much predicate-complement structures "Verb yi sheng" in modern Chinese language basic on BCC, CCL language database, and some authoritative reference books such as The Dictionary of Modern Chinese, Chinese Verb Usage Dictionary, The Grand Dictionary of Modern Chinese. First of all, I classified these verbs into two groups by resource:sound from organs and sound from object. And then I classified these verbs into subgroups by semantic features. The conclusions are as follows:1.Sound from organs:the mode of sound and illocutionary act. Both groups can be sorted into vast subgroups.2. Sound of object:tingle, beating.I discovered "yi sheng" have some differentiation:No.1:a specific sound and No.2: a short time window have their own semantic features."yi sheng 1":[existence sound] [significant result] [one quantifier]"yi sheng 2":[existence sound][significant result][one short time window]In this thesis, I also uesd semantics interface to analyze the way to composition of verb and "yi sheng", resolve controlling of acceptability in grammar and sufficiency in meaning of predicate-complement structure by semantic interface. Furthermore, I resolved the existence condition of other composition:rhythm condition and objective condition. Finally, I analyzed the possibility of omission of "yi" in the "Verb yi sheng"generally in respect of grammar, style and rhythm. The omission of "yi" is consequence of "light tone omission" which can be used under preliminary condition:1. In grammar:there must be some content following "yi sheng".2.In style:"verb" has specific characters of informal style, and always is monosyllabic verb.3. In rhythm:"yi" is light tone.
