Compare And Study The Vocabulary Of She (畲) Dialect And Migration’s Dialect

In order to study the relationgship between the She (畲) dialect and migration’s dialect, this paper will compare the vocabulary of Jingning and that of local migrations,which includes Hunan,Guangdong,Jiangxi,Fujian,and Zhejiang province.In the end,we will provide evidence for the ethnic origin of language.The paper consists of five parts. The first chapter is preface, which reviews the research status of She (畲) dialect and vocabulary, This part introduces the method of comparing vocabulary and account for the source of material in this paper.The second chapter is the comparation of the core words. By means of comparing 100 core words of M. Swadesh, we count the payonyms percentage between She (畲) dialect and migration’s dialect. And we figure out the differentiate time of She (畲) dialect and migration’s dialect by Robert B.Lees’ formula. The third chapter is comparation between the characteristc words. There are three types. The frist one is unique feature words that only belongs to She (畲) dialect. This words has no relationship with the vocabulary of migration’s dialect. They may be the original vocabulary of She (畲) dialect. The second is relational character words. This part is the new words which come from the mix of She (畲) dialect’ vocabulary and some morphemes of migration’s dialect’s vocabulary. Apparently they are influenced by the vocabulary of migration’s dialect district The third is co-occurrence words. They are directly brought in from migration’s dialect district, and without any processing. According to Li Rulong’s theories of characteristc words, we explore the relationship between the She (畲) dialect and migration’s dialect The fourth chapter is the comparation of semantic field. According to Liu Shuxin’s theories of semantic field, we compare the semantic field of She (畲) dialect to that of migration’s dialect By the compartion of core words, characteristc words and semantic field,we find that Xiang dialect has the closest relationship with She (畲) dialect.Kejia dialect has second closest relationship with She (畲) dialect. We can infer that Xiang dialect has original relationship with She (畲) dialect. And other dialects may just contacted it.In the end, we make conclusion. Due to my limited research capabilities, there are some unresolved issues. I hope these problems can be effectively sovled in the future.
