The rapid development of information technology causes a revolution reflection in the field of education. In January 2012, "College English Curriculum Requirements". promulgated by the Ministry of Education, required "Universities should be full use of modern information technology and adopt English teaching mode which is based on the computer and classroom, to perfect the teacher oriented single teaching mode. With the development of mobile internet, IE (instant messaging) software, represented by Wechat, is in rapid development. The research of instant messaging software applied to the teaching mode is still in the initial stage, especially the applying of instant messaging software in college English curriculum teaching mode. Hereby, this paper argues that teaching researches on applying modern communication tools, such as instant messaging, to university classes have important practical significance.Firstly, through the literature analysis method, this paper summarized research situation and practice on applying instant messaging software to course teaching at home and abroad and combined Wechat, the highest popularity software, with the English class which is to develop English skills that social talents. Secondly, by the means of test requirement analysis, case design and case study, this paper worked out the design process and design principles of Wechat-aided Teaching Mode in College English. After applying for WeChat subscription ---"English Charger Bank", took unit 6 "How to Prepare for Earthquakes" as experimental teaching content to collect relevant data for empirical research. Finally, this paper demonstrated the scientificity and the attitudes on Wechat-aided interactive English teaching mode.Through the analysis of the study it found that college students have high acceptance to the new mode which applies instant messaging software to after-class teaching. This new mode can fully arouse their learning initiative and participation, improve the interaction between students and teachers and students’ English comprehensive ability. During the reform of education, IM-aided teaching mode will be given more and more attention. I believe the follow-up research will be promising and the IM-aided teaching mode will be widely used.
