Report On Interpretation Practice Of Long-distance Conversations Under The Context Of Instant Messaging Software

With the expansion of communicative activities between countries around the world, Englishas an effective tool plays a more and more important role in global communications. Interpretingas the bridge in communication is also important for cultural exchanges. At the same time, moreand more scholars are paying attention to interpreting researches which also promote the extensiveand deep development of interpreting. Long-distance interpreting has an important auxiliaryfunction in exchanges and cooperation between different regions and different cultures. In theinformation age, the development and application of instant software enables a vaster space andmore possibilities for the development of long-distance conversation interpreting.Among previous researches on interpreting, some researchers focus on the introduction ofconversation interpreting in macro angle, some scholars study the training of interpreter inconversation interpreting, some researchers emphasize on the characters of conversationinterpreting. But few scholars conducted researches on the difficulties and solutions tolong-distance interpreting under instant communication software. In this research, the authoranalyzes the difficulties and barriers in long-distance conversation interpreting under instantcommunication software based on practice, founding out problems and putting forward solutions.Based on the author’s real interpreting experience and situation, this report aims to provide someguidance and experience for future research.
