With "the audience" as the main steam from the beginning to the end, this paper mainly researches on the popular literary journal Story. It tries to explore the law of creating stories influenced by political and economic systems and the reading habits of mass, from the perspective of the reader, the narrative mode as well as the spreading modes.Meanwhile, this paper tries to figure out the spreading modes of popular literature under the circumstances of market economy.The first chapter is about the Story audience.
