The Opinion Of Shuntian Times About The Republic Of China From 1911 To 1916

Shuntian Times,a daily newspaper in Chinese language,was published by Japanese in Beijing in 1901 and it is the most earliest modern newspaper.Because of thise,Shuntian Times plays a important role in Beijing even China.The newspaper was founded by a famous non-governmental Japanese organization based in China---East Asia Common Culture Association and it later was controlled by Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs because of its significant effect. As the product of Japan’s policy toward China, Shuntian Times has been playing the role of Japanese government’s propaganda tool in China.But,at the same time,it also acted as the instrument of cultural exchange China and foreign country on certain conditions and has an important impact on society of modern China.As of 1930, Shuntian Times had existed for 30 years.As an influential newspaper in the 20th century, research about it is rare at home and abroad.As a newspaper founded by Japanese in China,Shuntian Times changed it’s tone with the change of the Japanese government diplomacy with China.This thesis has regarded Shuntian Times,which was from 1911 to 1916,as the main materials.Through the discussion of Shuntian Times,this thesis tries to bring the real attitude of Shuntian Times on the affairs during this period.As a popular newspaper in China for a time,its success not only depend on the gowernment’s support,also depends on its good at grasping the tendency of public opinion then taking advantage of it,which will do some goods to the understanding of modem society of China.
