A Study On The Poet Group Of The Southeast Coast In The Late Yuan Dynasty

The southeast coastal area, as the poetry and article writing center of the late Yuan Dynasty, emerged such a group of poets:their ideology, lifestyle and aesthetic trend occurred great changes under the influence of the commercial economy and urban culture, which were booming in that time, and reflected in the poetry creation in different degrees. In their works, the merchant community and business behavior, which were despised by scholars, started to go to front stage, and changed the image of the past. In their works, it fully embodied that the urban economy and culture influenced the literary creation widely and profoundly at that time. In their works, it revealed that the Yuan Dynasty poetry and even the whole Chinese ancient poetry undergone some changes and broke away from the development path. Various phenomena indicated that this group of poets and their poetry creation not only injected fresh elements to the Yuan Dynasty poetry, but also added color to Chinese ancient poetry, and thus fully demonstrated the value of the subject. However, studies of the academic circles rarely involved the aspect above mentioned.This text defined and discussed the southeast coast poets with the key point of the urban economic and cultural influence of the late Yuan Dynasty, and mainly divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. This part mainly introduced the research status, research significance, research ideas and research methods.The second part is the first chapter of the thesis. Firstly, this part defined the southeast coastal poet group of the late Yuan Dynasty and introduced the life experiences of the major members. And then discussed the formation of the poet group from the politics, the economy, and the culture of the late Yuan Dynasty, as well as the relation bonds between some members of the poet group.The third part is the second chapter of the thesis. This part mainly discussed the theme orientation and style orientation presented in the poetry creation of the poet group under the influence of the urban economy and culture. Among them, the theme orientation as follows:recording the poets took part in the literary activities; describing the commercial version and shaping the merchant image; presenting the secularization of the poets’life style, and the emergence of women and love in poetry normalization. The style orientation as follows:expansive momentum; plain language; interest and charm shallow light.The fourth part is the third chapter of the thesis. This part mainly explained the status and influence of the southeast coastal poet group and their poetry creation. And mainly unfolded from two aspects:one is the position and influence in the late Yuan Dynasty; the other is the position and influence in later ages.The fifth part is the conclusion of the thesis. This part combed the content mentioned above and drew the conclusion:the southeast coastal poet group of the late Yuan Dynasty and their poetry creation, not only injected fresh blood into the Yuan Dynasty poetry, but also added color to Chinese ancient poetry. And then pointed out the shortcomings of this thesis.
