With the further development of globalization, China has deepened cooperation and communication with other countries. In recent years, the development of Chin-Arab bilateral economy and trade goes well, which provides Ningxia Hui ethnic group with unprecedented opportunities to introduce their special halal food culture into foreigners. In such case, good halal menus translation can promote the exchange of trade and culture between two sides and enhance mutual understanding between their people.Ningxia halal menus translation is a new topic. With the popular usage of "German functionalist theory", "communicative translation theory" and "dynamic equivalence translation theory" in Chinese menus translation, halal menus translation has referential theoretical basis. Because of lacking of the guidance of mature translation practices texts of Ningxia halal menus, the translator focusing on purposes of client and translator herself, applies German functionalist theory to the translation of Ningxia halal menus according to certain classification of halal dishes. In the process of translating, combined with three principles:fidelity, skopos and coherence rules, this proposal adopts literal translation, free translation, transliteration, annotation translation to complete the research on Ningxia halal menus translation.Reference from Chinese menus translation and mutual discussion, this practical report aims at idiomatic translated text, readable template for later practices, and improvement of translation skills.
