Research On Agricultural Heritage Residents Career Transition

Agricultural Heritage as a new type of heritage pays much attention. With the development of agricultural heritage tourism, Visitors’ food, housing, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment needs created occupations of both low-input and profit for residents. Occupation of community residents become more pluralistic. Facing the living environment need to improve and original farming occupations need to retain, the research of residents use existing resources to seize opportunities for career transition has become an important subject.According to social role theory and role transformation theory, this article through literature research, starts from factors of career transition, design career transition interview outline from career transitions, individual differences, family background and social interaction, haves semi-structured interviews for 35 households headed, gets interviews materials, draws factor maps of career transition from individual differences, family background and social interaction. Set the survey questionnaire from individual differences, family background and social interaction, through several rounds of expert consultation results to obtain data, having descriptive statistical analysis for information, then makes quantify determination for residents career transition first, using cross analysis, factor analysis and correlation analysis analyze residents’ career transition type and amount of influence factors by spss20.0.Combining questionnaire survey and interview materials concluded:First, the mode of Ziquejie residents’ career transition is that they preserve traditional occupations and take new occupations at the same time, career transition has change of type and number. Second, sex, age, matching skills have associated relations with career transition types, people’s education level, family effective labor have associated relations with career transition level, residents communion with neighbor, friends, tourism management department, tourists have associated relations with career transition level. Third, there are some issues affecting residents Career Transitions: Residents have low education level; some residents can’t use Mandarin; young generation have work in other place, small population in family; tour line is separated with the residents; tourism management department organize less folk performances, and the participation of residents is not high; residents have low understanding of tourism; tourism department have less capital investment to scenic; residents of Ziquejie agricultural heritage didn’t involve in the management. Then these Suggestions are necessary:long-term training; design interspersed tour lines between terraces and residents; organize residents to participate operation and management of scenic; organizing residents to participate folk cultural activities to enhance the participation of residents; increase tourism promotion efforts; increase tourism promotion efforts and capital investment.
