In theory, from the perspective of ethnomusicology, discusses the kouxian art, then elaborated the ethnomusicology and methodology and ethnic music instrument kouxian briefly; On the field survey, through the way of interview, wuzhong city of ningxia hui kouxian pop, lingwu, ninghxia, tongxin county, is a fieldwork investigation, artists play the kouxian respectively for professional players representing inheritance and non-professional play on behalf of inheritance, study the kouxian art heritage, etc. Through the way of questionnaire survey was carried out for elementary school students, understanding the development of local kouxian inheritance. The government’s attention and protection measures of the kouxian culture, to promote the development of folk art of hui kouxian heritage and, therefore, protection and relay the kouxian art is very important.
