Study On The Management Ethics Of Mo-tse

The human nature hypothesis theory and the moral body’s request of “benevolent man” are the premise of Mo-tse’s management-ethical though. Mo stressed that the social responsibility of management entity,he believes that humanity is not preordained but affected by the outside world, and a good moral character could be acquired and shaped by choosing a good external environment. At the same time, in Mo’s management ethics thought, the moral subject must conform to the standard of "benevolent man", who possesses high sense of social responsibility."To love each other distinctly and to benefit each other mutually" is the most famous theory in Mo’s management-ethical thought,which is the origin of his other theories. "Bring the world benefit, remove the evil of the world" is the ultimate goal of Mo’s goal of the management ethics thought. Under the guidance of the spirit of "universal love",MoZi admitted the rationality of human’s desire, and based on which to achieve moral ideals of harmonious society. There are two main fields in Mo’s management.ethics though,one is the political management ethics and the other is the economic management ethics.Mo’s political and economic management ethics are embodied in implementation of the "universal love" ethics.On the domestic political governance,Mo proposed the value orientation of “harmony”,he thought this centralized management was more effective. In the personnel management,Mo thought advocating elite was fundamental in managing state affairs. This personnel management ethics was reflected Mo’s intension to break the hierarchy in order to achieve equality.In political communication,Mo objected to injustice war. In the ethical thoughts of economic management, Mo opposed extravagance, and advocated the development of production. He asked the ruler notice the importance of agricultural production, reduce the extravagance and increase population. Mo’s pursuit is a kind of harmonious state, and the realization of the value idea of harmony is to maintain a stable domestic political and economic environment, on the other hand, we should also create a safe environment for foreign countries.Mo’s management ethics thought is an important part of our country’s ancient management ethics,and also provides some reference for our country to build a harmonious society. At the same time,due to the restrictions of Mo’s living era and social status,his management ethics includes shortcomings such as fantasy and contradiction and so on. We should take a dialectical view of Mo’s management ethics.
