Study Of The Application Of Surrealistic Style Expressional Language In Satoshi Kon’s Animations

With the development of the times and the advancement of the technology,the people’s spiritual life have been constantly improving,meanwhile,people have been in great satisfication with their material life. The single form of animation can’t satisfy people’s aesthetic demand. In recent years, ultra realistic style of animation film and shorts gradually appeared in the international arena, especially Japanese animation master Satoshi Kon’s "Millennium actress", "red pepper", Koji Morimoto’s works "bomb" all dimensions and so on, gain a high reputation and box office.Satoshi Kon as Japan’s greatest surrealism animation director, he is the first one to try to use animation to express the characters inner complex emotional world. His works have a position of authority can not shake in the animation industry.With works created by the Japanese master of surrealistic animation Satoshi Kon before his death as the research object, the paper starts from three aspects of animation creation,namely theme selection, narrative technique and lens language, to study, analyze and rationally apply main expressional language of surrealistic style in Satoshi Kon’s animations.The first part of the paper introduces the origin and features of surrealism,explores the possibility of surrealism as a creation view being combined with animation, and makes a brief introduction of Satoshi Kon, the Japanese master of surrealistic animation, and his representative works.In the second part, the paper analyzes the themes of Satoshi Kon’S few animations remaining today, studies Satoshi Kon’s characteristics in theme selection and explores how to fit in with the creation principle of surrealism in the theme selThe third part conducts a research and analysis of the narrative technique used by Satoshi Kon in his animations, makes a horizontal and vertical comparison of Satoshi Kon’s animations and works created by other surrealistic writers, and interprets the narrative features of surrealistic animations. Meanwhile, the paper also analyzes the lens language in Satoshi Kon’s animations, conducts a selective analysis of Satoshi Kon’s most representative matching editing technique, and explores how Satoshi Kon gives expression to the editing features of surrealistic animation through special editing technique.In the fourth part, based on expression techniques of surrealistic animation gained by studying Satoshi Kon’s animations, the author combines his or her own lifeexperience, collects materials and reads literatures to create an animated short film with surrealistic characteristics to express complicated spiritual world of the characters.The fifth part makes a brief review and summary of the Chinese animation history, analyzes the current situation of surrealistic animations in China and probes into the positive significance of generalizing surrealistic style of animation in China.By studying and analyzing expressional language of surrealistic animation creation,the paper draws the conclusion that China’s animation creation can and should be combined with surrealism, and it is of positive significance to advocate surrealistic animation creation.
