After it was introduced into China, the Buddhism communicated and clashed with Chinese local culture, such as the Confucian, independently and passively. It formed a style of Buddhist teachings and art system, which is different from ancient Indian’s Buddhist art style. This style, in turn,affected the Chinese traditional culture. This is the starting point of the research writing in this paper. In the early time, the Buddhism didn’t consecrate Buddha, which is related to its teachings. With the development of the teachings, the impaction in art from the local and foreign religious believes, the ruling class’ s actively promotion, the Buddha, finally show up. The Buddha, as the important content of Buddhist art, played a significant role in the process of the spread of Buddhism. The study of the Buddha’s formation and evolution, as well as the style of worship, the space of worship, is conductive to the comprehension of two things, one is the influence of the Buddhism to the incoming areas, the other is the laws of cultural communications.
