A Study Of Zhao Chongguo In The Western Han Dynasty

Zhao Chongguo, a famous officer in the Western Han dynasty. His life stories were recorded in historical documents such as Hanshu and Houhanshu ect. The Sixty-nine Volume of Hanshu has Zhao Chongguo’s biography. However, there are some problems of his life stories such as unrecorded or partiality in historical documents. The understanding of the past dynasties for Zhao Chongguo too paid close attention to his military and Tuntian stories to ignore the other things such as his family background and in addition to its military garrison deeds and his ideological contents, etc.Modern research scholars, most of them too.For the discussion of Zhao Chongguo in the academic circles appeared many problems, this paper comprehensive studied of Zhao Chongguo through a comprehensive arrangement and analysis of the historical records about Zhao Chongguo and based on the existing academic research achievements. Zhao Chongguo’s growth experience, family background, deeds and the thought and the evaluation of his history were the article’s main contents.This paper comprehensive studied of Zhao Chongguo and promoted Zhao Chongguo’s research based on the existing research results. This study is benefited to the objective and comprehensive understanding of Zhao Chongguo who was an important historical figure and also been a reference for the contemporary construction in Northwest China.
