A Study On Auspicious Omen Of Gui-yi-jun Period

The auspicious omens are mostly something that people see as good things,which can be called as Jiaxiang、Xiangrui、Zhenxiang,and so on.The auspicious omens were used as tokens,as time goes on,it became the link between Heaven and Mankind.When the Han dynasty,Dong zhongshu definityly connected it to kingly way,which regarded as the omen of the emperor whether conform to the mandate of heaven.Therefore,emperors in every dynasty mostly used the auspicious omens to manifest that themselves is the representative of the destiny to assert their dominance,which play an important role in the ancient politics,especially for some special regime,such as Wang Mang period、Wu Zetian period and so on.The Gui-yi-jun regime locate at northwest Dunhuang although obeyed the center dynasty for a long time,it had great independence and even once established a single kingdom. There were a large number of auspicious omens among the Gui-yi-jun period.This paper had four parts,the first part of which is introduction.The introduction defined the concept of auspicious omens and retrospected the research status of Dunhuang manuscripts’ auspicious omens,which focused on arguing the feasibity of this paper’s study.The second part was the auspicious omens’ classification,which concluded the classification in the historical records,and presented the classification in the Six Code in Tang Dynasty and the yu hai by the table to be easy to the latter study.The third part were The Gui-yi-jun regime and the auspicious omens,which had the Zhang’s Gui-yi-jun period,Jin-shan-guo period and the Cao’ Gui-yi-jun period.This paper introducted the political background among every period’s of which,and focused on every period’s auspicious omens.It was found that the Zhang’s Gui-yi-jun was closed to the center dynasty as it needed to ensure its rule with the help of which.However,because the Gui-yi-jun far away from the center dynasty and the Tang Dynasty was busy dealing with its own problems,they became estranged.When the Jin-shan-guo period,Zhang Chengfeng used the auspicious omens to ensure his rule.The Cao’ Gui-yi-jun gained hearts and ensure its rule by the auspicious omens.At last we can conclude from the above that the auspicious omens were closed to the Gui-yi-jun regime and the Buddhism.
