The source text is excerpted from the first part University Introduction in 2015-2016 Norwich University Catalog. This part mainly gives the introduction of campus culture, educational philosophy, school regulations, degree-awarding, credit and system of rewards and penalties. Higher education in the U.S enjoys the great reputation in the world. Any University cannot well develop without good academic atmosphere for the students encouraging them to be more creative and productive in their research. The long history, good academic atmosphere and management methods are the important reasons for many students to study there. Through the translation, Chinese students who want to study in Norwich University will have the overall understanding of the University, and get some relevant information about the higher education in the United States. Meanwhile, it will help the students to get some relevant information about the higher education in the United States. First, there is so much for Chinese universities to learn from its course installation, management methods and system of rewards and penalties etc. in Norwich University. This translation provides an important reference for the relevant information, which has a good theoretical and practical significance. Second, it is beneficial to their future and common development between two schools’ education cooperation. Second, it mainly introduces the background of the translation project and discusses the translation theory and strategies during the translation practice. Third, a detailed case analysis and solution to the translation practice are carried out. Fourth, a conclusion about the whole paper is made and possible further study directions are proposed.
