A Research On The Relationship Between Social Support, Self-esteem, And Motivation Of Drug Abstention For Drug User And Intervention Study

Mandatory drug addicts will experience from the body detoxification to psychological rehabilitation,then recovery process during in a relatively closed environment,In the process of compulsory rehabilitation,drug addicts will grow some psychological problems, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low level of social support and personality bias, etc. during detoxification, How drug addicts can achieve the psychological rehabilitation have a vital role for successful rehabilitation.This study focused on social factors and personal internal factors,exploring the mechanism of self-esteem between the two factor, at the same time investingating the possibility of improving social support and self-esteem through intervention.Firstly This study chooses twenty drug addicts as subjects, using semi-structured interviews to examine drug addiction social support condition(the sources of social support、the types of social support、the important of social support). On this basis,the researcher selected the Two hundred and eighty-eight drug addiction as the subjects, exploring the relationship during social support, self-esteem and the motivation of anstention, and in the intermediary effect of self-esteem between social support and the motivation of anstention. Finally,.Researchers divided the twenty drug atticts into experimental group and control group, establish a group counseling program to enhance the social support and self-essteem of drug addicts and make group counseling in the experimental group, try to through the intervention of to improve drug addicts ’ social support and self-essteem.The results showed that:(1) compulsory rehabilitation centers members’ support sources include parents,his wife(lovers), friends, rehab members and cadres of the drug rehabilitation center;they feel emotional and instrumental support,that includ respectively life care,encourage(drug or other things), comfort enlightens, chat, visit, etc. and financial support, taking care of the family, life care, etc.; The arrangement in order of importance is parents, wife, friends, rehab participants and cadres.(2) self-esteem respectively is negatively related to social support and the motivation of drug abstention, and the motivation drug abstention of is closely relative to the social support.(3) self-esteem of drug addicts is a partial intermediary role between the motivation drug abstention and the social support.(4) The group counseling intervention program of the satir model in this study is scientifie, practical and effcetive. drug addicts’ level of self-stiffness have significant reduced.
