"scholar’s style " aesthetic requirement is calligraphy, painting, seal carving and other Chinese traditional art aesthetic into a product of conscious stage. Qing Dynasty as the peak of the development of the carving art, literati will seal the optic caprice delight in the form of culture, pay attention to the cultivation of knowledge, which for the carving in the bookish study provided the conditions.The study of "Qi" is an important content in the research on seal-cutting style. The“scholar’s style”in seal-cutting is corresponding concept, which is concerned with “epigraphy” and “triteness in artistic work”. After the rise of literati carving, the master of Seal cutting pay more attention to the” scholar’s style”. The research mainly focuses on scholar’s style in seal-cutting, especially take the scholars’ seal-cutting of Qing dynasty for the main research object. The “scholar’s style” in seal-cutting is a kind of aesthetic style that is being sloppily dressed, Quiet and elegant. This style is created by the scholars, who have the culture and spirited characteristic such as behaving with composure, cultured and elegant, learned and refined, Being quiet,not charming.Take the works as an example,Zhao zhiqian was ranked most stable, followed by Deng Shiru,Wu Yangzi, and Ding Jing. From the point of view of techniques, xiaozhuan, a style of calligraphy, adopted in the Qin Dynasty for the purpose of standardizing the script, is conducive to reflect the “scholar’s style”. Because the style of xiaozhuan is dignified and elegant. The art of composition is balanced and stable. The artistry of wielding the knife is simply, neat, calm, which can reflect the pen and ink interestFrom the contents of the print, the scholars’ pay attention to the reading and self-cultivation, and want to be as famous character. The "Classic" and "elegance" in the content is the direct representation of the “scholar’s style”. From the seal Biankuan of Qing Dynasty, Literati association, academic discussion, artistic ideas are the important contents of the “scholar’s style” Furthermore,Seal stone play a certain role to express the “scholar’s style” because of their Natural attributes such as color, texture, etc.Comparing the “scholar’s style” in the seal-cutting of Qing Dynasty with the creation of contemporary carving,it is not difficult to find the deficiencies of contemporary carving. The lack of superficial meaning and cultural connotation is not only the lankness of literary accomplishment, but also a lack of aesthetic consciousness. The lack of rigorist contribute to the weakness of the seal foundation, which are the lack of “scholar’s style”.
