Chinese seal cutting art has a long history.In the long history of development,seal has gone through a process from germination to maturity and then to self-consciousness.There are different styles and characteristics of seals in different periods,and there are different reasons.In recent times,the art of seal cutting has been attached great importance to by scholars.As an academic research,it has also attracted much attention.The research content involves various aspects of seal cutting,among which the seal style has received the highest attention.However,by summarizing these research results,it can be found that while making contributions to the art of seal cutting,there are also methodological problems such as unclear logic main line in the research process.This paper,based on the generation and development of seals,the relationship between seals and contemporary texts,and the artistic consciousness of seal cutting,makes a unified arrangement and summary of seals before the Ming dynasty.On this basis,it makes a dynamic analysis of the macro and micro reasons of various styles.In this paper,the seal style before Ming dynasty is divided into four stages according to the research content and the characteristics of seal style.The first stage was the Yin and shang dynasties,which was the initial stage of the seal.The seal pattern evolved from the national emblem,which played an early credential role.The second stage is from the western zhou dynasty to the han dynasty.This period is the unity of the characters from zhou dynasty and zhou dynasty.Zhou zhou was used as the character from zhou dynasty,qin xiaozhuan was used as the character from zhou dynasty,and miao zhuan was used as the character from han dynasty.Although the names of the characters in each period are different,they all belong to the contemporaneous seal script system,which is to make corresponding glyph changes according to the common characters of The Times.The third stage was from the six dynasties to the song dynasty,which was a period when seal characters were separated from the current ones.The development of modern calligraphy and the self-realization of calligraphy made seal characters separate from the current ones.The zhuang-character of seal characters and the complexity of making it difficult to be forged made seal characters still be used to seal seals,so as to reflect the authority and practicality of official seal.The fourth stage was the yuan dynasty,during which the art of seal cutting began to move towards self-consciousness.Due to the use of Tibetan seal,printing spectrum and printing theory,as well as the extensive selection of printing materials by literati,the art of seal cutting began to move towards self-consciousness.During this period,the development of private seal flourished,and the seal style was affected by the retro trend of The Times and personal aesthetic factors.Through the analysis of the four stages,we have a macroscopic and unified understanding of the seal styles in the historical period from the beginning of the Yin and shang seals to the beginning of the yuan dynasty seal cutting art to the self-consciousness.Understanding the causes of various styles in this period has played a positive role in our study,application and seal cutting creation. |
