The Influence Of Seal Script On Seal Cutting Practice

Seal score is an important part of Chinese seal cutting history.It provides an important basis for seal research and seal cutting art development,and effectively promotes the development of seal art history.With the innovative use of printing materials and the gradual participation of literati,as well as the influence of philosophy and art trend,seal cutting art has been endowed with more rich artistic connotation,among which people have more urgent requirements for the improvement of printing spectrum and its quality.The collection of ancient seals by the people and collection groups in Ming Dynasty provides important raw materials for the distribution of the seal books.The first issue of Gu’s collection of ancient seal books in Ming Dynasty is a typical example.Twenty copies of the original seal scripts of the Qin and Han Dynasties set off a great wave in the field of literati seal cutting at that time.Their appearance made people refreshing,and had a great impact on the practice of seal cutting at that time in epistemology,the concept of taking methods and practice methods.This paper takes the research of Gu’s "ancient seal book" as the starting point,extends to the reflection of the influence of seal book on seal cutting practice,and discusses the derivation and causes of the artistic concepts of seal cutting schools in Ming and Qing Dynasties.This paper focuses on the compilation and importance of Gu’s ancient seal book,the influence of Gu’s ancient seal book on the practice of seal cutting in the same era,and the thinking of the related problems caused by Gu’s ancient seal book,which are elaborated in three aspects,in order to provide useful reference for the contemporary seal cutting learners.
