| Context determines language meaning and the same word presents different meanings in different contexts. Owing to its diversified functions and purposes, tourist texts add to complexity and difficulties of translation. Taking twelve chapters of Unforgettable Walks to Take before You Die written by Steve Watkins and Clare Jones as translation texts, this paper discusses some difficult issues from aspects of situational context, linguistic context and cultural context and concludes some effectual strategies of translation of tourist texts accordingly. |
