Study On Zhou Zhengbao’s Literature Criticism

1980s, the era of the revive of Contemporary Chinese literature, in which, literary works and criticism flourished, as well as the literature in Western China. Zhou Zhengbao as an important critic of Contemporary literature in Xinjiang, he went to the central zone of literary criticism from the edge by a rich of literary criticism works.His literary criticism covered almost all kinds of art, including literature,painting, drama, films, etc.His criticism made great achievements especially in the field of “New Frontier Poems”“Western Literature” “Military literature” “The Reportage”,etc.He has always insisted on the principle of realistic literary criticism and stuck to the National-People’s criticism,and emphasized the relationship between life and literature.With a strong awareness of the problem, he took the text as the focus of literary criticism and held a sincere attitude which observed from a macro perspective and writing from a imperceptibility place. At the same time,his criticism supported by a strong solid theoretical basis with simple and profound poetic language.As a critic who goes out from Xinjiang, On the one hand, Zhou Zhengbao pays close attention to literature creation in Xinjiang and the West. On the other hand, he strived to be at the front of the national literary criticism, which makes him become to be one of the most important critics in the history of Contemporary Xinjiang.In the criticism of Chinese contemporary literature, Zhou Zhengbao has a wide field of vision and very diligent in writing, which built up his own literary criticism theory system with brilliant thoughts and full of emotions.He provides a lot of academic thought resources to the study of literary criticism, which has left a profound influence on the history of Chinese contemporary literary criticism.This paper attempts to tracing the criticism of the literary theory of Zhou Zhengbao and to sort out the systematic characteristics of Zhou Zhengbao’s critical theory in a particular historical period in the fields of poetry, fiction, prose, report literature, and films literature, and at last I try to evaluate the value and significance ofZhou Zhengbao’s literary criticism in the history of Chinese contemporary literature.
