The Application Of Figurative Expressionism In Oil Painting Creation

The figurative expressionism, a kind of expression method in oil painting and combining the phenomenological method theory, reveals the basic meanings of the art of painting. It demonstrates instructional significance as being a methodology system in oil painting from philosophical meditation and visual inquiry degree. It has been an indispensable part of in the history of western art development. In this thesis, the figurative expressionism is studied, summarized and used in my oil painting creation. This thesis consists of five parts:The first part is introduction. It describes the source and significance of this topic, the research status of concrete expression.The second part is an overview of the concrete expression. It includes four parts, the concept of the figurative expressionism, the origin ofthe figurative expressionism, the characteristic of the figurative expressionism and the development status of the figurative expressionism.The third part introduces the western figurative expressionism painter and to learn the painting ideology and techniques that they use in their paintings.In the fourth part, the figurative expressionism is used in my own painting creation. Through this way, the change in my painting creation is not only in the painting techniques but also in my idea which is most important.The last part is the feelings and experiences which is got from the oil painting creation. It is also a summary of this thesis.
