Figurative expressionism painting is not a school,but a painting method with academic value and research significance.It penetrates into the drawing with the phenomenological theory and supported by the phenomenological principle and research method.Figurative expressionism painting uses the Modern painting with the aid of concrete things' representation rather the objective realistic reappearance of objective things.The method of phenomenological observation,that is,looking from the phenomenology perspective,which is different from each painting way in history.Figurative expressionism painting is not only reappear the things or express feelings with scenery,more is for real,it is to ask the real things,to explore the “existence”,to study the way of truth phenomenon.Shading and rendering is the basic argument in this thesis which is a concept in phenomenology.It is a study on the figurative expressionism painting.Shading and rendering is the research of implicit and explicit in truth,and painting is a way of present actually,which explore the figurative expressionism painting how to express,and how to let the truth just visible from damasking to emerge.German philosopher Heidegger in his book “the origin of art” says “works of art in their own way actives the existence of the entity.” Like this open in work,namely damasking.It is the truth of the existence.In art works,there is truth consciously set into the work.Art is the truth to set into the work self-actuated”Through the claim we can see works of art is the truth.Paintings by damasking turn the existence or the truth from the state of covering to uncovering,which is called showing no shelterAs “real” and “being” in the embodiment in painting,we have to study the form of painting,in which shading and rendering has become a central issue.The so-called real is the “present we see”? How truth is obscured or saved? Through the analysis of representative artists,their works and related art phenomenological theory,the thesis uses the research method of comparative,literature and exemplification and so on,to try to reveal how truth is just visible from the damasking,and the hiding truth is how to presented in the figurative expressionism painting and clarify the phenomenological problem “shading and rendering” how to get into the reflection of figurative expressionism painting.
