Study On China’s Food Safety Present Situation And Countermeasures

Food is the most foundational material condition for the human survival anddevelopment. Its safety is related to the public health and safety, economical healthydevelopment, social harmony and stability. In recent years, with the rapid developmentof China’s food industry, food safety events happen frequently. This not only causesthe focus of public attention, but also attaches the state and government greatimportance to the food safety work.At present, domestic and foreign scholars have done some research whichprovided useful reference for solving the food safety problem in the realistic society.However, from the whole perspective, most of the studies foc used on the theoreticallevel, mainly for the single specific problem, such as the management of a certain typeof food problem, but there is little research on food safety problem in macro level, andnot combined with the China’s specific situation, which resulting in practice lack ofoperability. Although the state implements food safety law and related policy system,and carrying out a series of special consolidation to make Chinese food safety be instable situation, however, it is not operate in practice, then the deep problem ofrestricting food safety has not been solved fundamentally. It is particularly arduous tostrengthen work of food safety.Based on the concept of food safety, the paper elaborates the food safety relatedconcept and theory, and then understands the essence of food safety. It alsocomprehensive summary and discuss the types, characteristics and research value offood safety by collecting a large amount of food safety information. To study thecurrent status of China’s food safety problem and analysis the food safety problemsoccurred frequently, it explores the underlying causes on food safety problem in ourcountry, explore the solution. At the same time, by learning the food safety controlexperience in European, United States and Japan dialectically, the paper proposes toimprove food safety laws and regulations from legislation, law enforcement andjudicature, advising to improve the level of China’s food safety by perfectingsupervision system, strengthening enterprises’ corporate integrity and socialresponsibility consciousness and increasing the protection of consumers’ rights and interests so as to protect consumer’s health and safetyand maintain the sustainable andstable development of social and economy.
