Analysis Of Gender Discrimination Under Marxism Women-theories

There were excellent culture during Chinese5000years’civilization,while another some backwards did exist.Due tothe production of private ownership, women lost the right toparticipate in social labor, forced to rely on men in economy,lacked economic independence, hard to feed themselves, graduallylost the initiative in all aspects of life, slowly became man’saccessories. Friedrich Engels pointed out that the liberation ofwomen related to the liberation of mankind, if women can’t getliberation, then the liberation of mankind can not be finished.After the founding of China, with the continuous development ofsociety, the ancient thoughts began to change, especially afterthe reform and opening up, the socialist market economy played afull role to the characteristics of the equality,competitivenessand openness, the huge market needed to provide women with moreopportunities to participate in social labor. China promulgated the"equality between men and women" basic national policy, theproblem of women rising to a certain height, women’s status was surefrom the legal level;Women’s problems were solved along with thedevelopment of society after the women’s liberation and rightorganizations were set up.In fact,there are some distances between ideality andreality.Traditional ideas of female subordination has been aroundfor hundreds of years, women had been taught to learn "wifelysubmission and virtue", later to become a "wife", bear the importantmission of "family", the old idea not only makes the female’sself-awareness stagnant, but also makes the public accept thisconcept. Backward idea are undoubtedly the major obstacles on theway to realize the equality between men and women, naturallyproduces a series of unequal treatment, it is not hard to find, theidea of gender discrimination is not completely eliminated, thereare more or less gap between Chinese female and male in the economic,political, social, cultural,family life and some other aspects,women’s liberation movement need to continue.This thesis try to explain the leaders take Marxism women-theories as a weapon to develop China, including theconcept,forming process and its scientific connotation.Facing thenew situation of today’s society, the old problem has not yet beenthoroughly solved, while new problems occurs. we should face up tothe opportunities and challenges in women’s liberation movement,trying to find the root causes of all kinds of problems under theguidance of the Marxism women-theories scientific connotation,think deeply, combine with the actual situation of China, putforward feasible measures, strengthen the enforcement of thegovernment and social organizations, realize the equality betweenmen and women, and the liberation of all mankind, reveal the valueconcept of the harmonious socialist.
