Like other countries in the world, China has been walking into an eraof the aging population. According to the results of the6th census, Chinacurrently has a population of1.37billion, of which includes8.9%who are over theage of65. The aging of the population will reduce the supplying of labor, therebyreduce the supplying of the effective labor, and then affect the improvement of laborproductivity. Another critical problem brought by the aging population is the burdenof supporting for the elderly,which brings our attention to another socialproblem--old-aged social security.China has been committed to building the old-agedsecurity system since its foundation. However, we still face many problems in termsof social securities compared with the developed countries. We have to scientificallyand reasonably adjust our policies to solve our present problems, building a sound andperfect old-aged social security.The old people over65make up9.84%of the total population of ShandongProvince by the end of2010, while the figure is10.02%in Zibo. It’s important for thereform and development of Zibo to study the aging problems of Zibo and find asolution to the problem.According to the statistics, focusing on the status of the agingproblem of Shandong Province, especially paying attention to the study of the state ofZibo, this paper introduced the situation of aging population and the old-aged socialsecurity system at home and abroad, summarized the causes and the features of theaging population, analyzed the population data of Zibo, and finally put forwardcorresponding advice of social security policies.
