Wenjiang Ding, the father of the Chinese modern geology, who not only focus onthe geological science, but also enthusiastic about politics all through his life. Ding setted his goal as saving and raising his home-country dating back to his teenage when studing abroad. After his graduation, Ding returned his motherland. Besides his major subject, he also devote his time and energy participating in the the political consultitionand democratic supervision. Countless of his political comment artical had been published. The term "Good People Politics" is first stated by Ding. Wenjiang Ding lived a intellectual live witch was teeming with liberal thoughts, with his assertion of innovation political revolution; and in his role of scientist, he claim that the development of country must basis on science and education; and as an elitist, he believed that with restraining the political power by the hands of monority educated, the chaos political situation sould be ended. In his old age, China was facing a great presure from the international society. This was one heading reason which made him became an authoritarianism, and supported th e government to carry out the Neo-dictatorship, integrated resources from all perspectives in order to defense invation. In the environment of authoritarianism, he still aspiring the liberalism. Ding’s profile reflects a tipical classical intelligensia, and a scientist of pragmtism.
