Ding Wenjiang and Hu Shi are renowned scholars in modern China,Ding Wenjiang is thefounder of China’s first geological teaching institutions and geological research institutions, isthe modern the Chinese geology industry pioneer,Hu Shi is the leader of the New CultureMovement.Although they are not politician, they are very concerned about politics and theydiscuss about politics in all their life.And Ding Wenjiang have had practical activities inpolitics.Although they have the common foundation of the liberal idea,there are differenciesas well as similarities in politics which react the varieties of chinese liberalism.Researchingtheir idea comparly,one side,it can deepen our cognition of them,in the meantime,it candeepen our cognition of chinese liberalism in1920s and1930s.The first part of the full text is the introduction, an overview of the time, place, and itsapproximate relationship of the two ideological background Ding Wenjiang and Hu Shi,substantially exchanges and the political.
