Minority College Students Volunteer Service Condition And Development Research

College students volunteer service in China has been gradually developing with the social institutional reform and values diversification during new era, how to guide students to actively participate in volunteer service, while establishing the correct core values and outlook on life is a worthy issue of study and discussion. Minority students as a special group at college, possess different characteristics than ordinary students, while in terms of personality, value orientation, etc. are becoming increasingly complex and volatile. Many of the specific issues appeared during the volunteer service management practice, therefore a profound understanding, analysis on these issues is particularly important to solve these problems. Research on development issue of minority college students volunteer service has the vital significance for the needs of ethnic unity education and patriotic education, it’s also meet the needs of innovation on ideological and political education at universities, while enriching and expanding the ideas on minority education; help to explore the establishment of social stability mechanism under the conditions of the market economy; contribute to the enrichment of new methods on youth ideological and political education, has a positive significance on the maintenance of national unity, national stability and the construction of harmonious society under the new situation.In this paper, the author combined the theoretical research and empirical research methods, reviewed research literature on volunteer service home and abroad, to trace the formation of voluntary action and its current research status. Through the analysis on the difference of volunteer service between home and abroad to draw inspiration to volunteer service at China. Through questionnaires survey and depth interviews, the author analyzed the characteristics and the problems and causes of minority college students participating in volunteer service, summarized that minority college students possess the characteristics of good political qualities, ideological and moral qualities, holding the minority character, advantage of minority customs and language, but the learning problems, poverty, psychological self-esteem, inferiority complex blend with psychological imbalance and life issues restrict minority college students to participate in volunteer service. Creatively the author introduce the concept of special education, hope to achieve "zero transfer" between volunteer service and entrepreneurship and innovation, career development. By the concept of "comprehensive beauty philosophy "to promote the development of minority college students volunteer service.Based on the analysis and work practices, this paper provides five channels to improve the practice on minority college students participating in volunteer service:to strengthen the propaganda on volunteer service concept among minority students group, to strengthen the students’participation motivation while improve the volunteer service management mechanism; standardize administration management, innovate ideas, and lay a solid foundation; Broaden areas, enrich forms, and set up a platform for volunteer service; position volunteer service reasonably, Rationalize the relationship between organizer and participator integrate resources for volunteer service; Establishes criteria, set a sound system for scientific development. Facing the special problems for minority college students to participate in volunteer service, through establishing incentive evaluation mechanism, humane, scientific training mechanism, standardized recruitment assessment mechanism, by the method of careful management, refinement guidance and attentive service to enforce the construction of minority college students volunteer organizations, promote the design and management of minority voluntary service to achieve its scientific development.
