A Study On The CPC’s Political Intergration In The Early Days Of New China

Political integration and political polarization is a pair of relative concept. After the reform and openning policy,China’s society is becoming more and more puralism. How to integrate a polarized society into one piece became a growing concern. Political integration means the process that political authorities maintain and aggregate the society to intergrate the society into one piece,Considering that the CPC plays a core leadership role in modern China, it is natrual that the CPC would be the main leader in the process of political integration. This article will use the concept of political intergration to analyse the political intergration led by the CPC in the early years after the founding of P.R. China, and try to understand the role that CPC had played in the process of the development of the Chinese society. To study the process, influence and meaning of the political intergration after the establishing of P.R. China will provide reference for the the intergration of the modern pluralism Chinese societyConsidering the special national and social conditions of China, the political intergration led by the CPC is the main way of social intergration in China. Since modern times, the Chinese society had been facing an overall crisis, and needed a powerful party to restore an authority and reorganize the society through political intergration. With an advantage in orgnization, ideology and mobilization, the CPC had a strong ability in political intergration, and it successfully led Chinese people to win the victory of the revolution. Under the special time background in the early years after the founding of the New China, China had been facing the pressing task of modernization. On the one hand, China had to centralize its social resources to push on industrialization, and on the other hand,China also had to establish and perfect its socialist system,all of these things will need the leadership of a powerful political force. As for CPC had already got so many advantages, it certainlly played a leading roll in the process of political intergration in the early years after the founding of the New China. In those years, CPC constructed its own network system,which played a very important role in the process of the political intergration of the Chinese society. At the political level, through the establishment of party orgnization, which even controlled the grass-roots Chinese society,CPC helped to re-establish an effective political authority in China. At the economic level, through the "three major transformations", the CPC established the dominant position of the public ownership, and it also it also helped the political system to directly control every social member through the unite system. At the social level, CPC exploded the old clan and religious orgnization,and established the peripheral organizations that were leeched on to CPC, and realized the organizational intergration of the Chinese society. At the ideological level, the CPC reformed the old ideology and successfully made the socialism value system to be a social consensus through all these measures, CPC helped to make a fragmented society into one united piece.All the measures that CPC took to intergrate the Chinese society helped to make all the Chinese people into an organic whole, they also layed the foundation for the development of Chinese politics and Chinese society and made the CPC to be the dominent power of the whole Chinese society. But one the other side, the politicization of social life inhibited autonomy of the people and the dynamic of the society which may lead to an negative impact in the long run. We need to summarize the theories and practices of the political intergration behaviors led by CPC in the early years after the founding of the New China to learn how to deal with the relationship between CPC and the society properly,and provide reference for the party building of CPC in the modern time.
