In modern democratic society, the problem of the public sphere as a core concept of modern democratic society attracted many scholars’ attention. However, on multi-cultural background, whether people, who come from different nations, culture, concept and sex, can reach a consensus when they enter the public sphere? In democratic society, state are required to allow citizens to exercise their political rights and give the guarantee of law, and the public sphere as a kind of theory category used by citizens, which have an interconnected and tensions relationship between the state and the public sphere. The formation of the public domain, as it were, is an outside political power, While its public opinion is also as the supervision mechanism of political power. So as a collective and national relative power, whether the political decision has legitimacy?Therefore, I will analyze the possibility of democratic consensus in the public sphere through three different types, including how it takes shape and whether it has appropriate power as it said.At the last,rethinking the democratic consensus in the public sphere through three different types,I will define a feasible democratic consensus in public sphere.This paper is divided into five chapters:In this paper, the first chapter mainly introduces the background of its questions. In modern society, what the traditional democracy face is one of the main dilemma of the formation of democratic consensus. And the public sector is as a theoretical paradigm, it is also a kind of institutional democratic ideals. And the problem of democratically consensus in the public domain, including how democratically consensus is formed and what effects the democratically consensus on national power can cause?The second chapter mainly introduces Arendt’s conception of the public domain; through analyzing the characteristics of the classical public areas to know how the democratic consensuses formed. The third part, mainly introduces the concept of the bourgeois, and how the democratic consensus come true after its conception change of the country.The forth chapter, mainly introduce the concepts of the public domain as a kind of social imagination and how this type of public domain to democratic consensuses problem.The last part mainly summarizes the different types of public sphere and how the democratic consensus agreed in public domain from three different patterns.
