There is an inseparable relationship between professional ethics and professional life. Therefore, the definition of career is required by research of professional ethics. In all things, because of social division of labor and the division of labor, career refers to social activities which individuals engaged in doing specific business and the special duties in order to get the reward as the main resource of income.With the development and progress of human society, professional ethics being a discipline has been set up as early as the end of the20s of the20th century. However, the corresponding professional activities and professional conduct lead to contradictions and conflicts. It is necessary that professional morality and professional ethics have to play their regulatory role. Professional ethics is defined as the moral rule, corresponding ethical concepts, sentiments, and qualities which people should abide by pursuing an occupational activities. It is the social ethics or class morality in the concrete embodiment of professional life.Contemporary China is transiting to economic society which based on social differentiation as the salient features. Potential disharmony factors and social disharmony of modernization process are also gradually exposed. It is due to the moral decline and decay that lead to social anomie phenomenon. Deficiency of professional ethics especially exists in a number of professional groups, such as abuse power for personal gains and corruption are frequently occurred in many civil servants.In this paper I will discuss the professional ethics construction of anti-smuggling police. As an important force and position, the customs anti-smuggling police is a high-risk job associated with malfeasance and corruption. In the field of customs anti-smuggling, polices often work outside and deal with matters related to the case that result in discretionary power. Discretion make decisions which represent a responsible choice and for which an understanding of what is lawful, right or wise may be presupposed rather than on others power of the administrative action, The abuse of discretion is a hotbed of corruption. There is no insurmountable gap between the power and corruption. To standardize the behavior of the professional workers, professional ethics constantly leads professional workers to make their self-improvement towards to the good direction.To strengthen the construction of professional ethics, the significance is not limited to career development and professional workers themselves. The loss of professional ethics is brought by its collapse as the foundation of political ethics while the rule of law society would be shaken and ruined. To enhance the construction of professional ethics among contemporary Chinese anti-smuggling police is the responsibility of career and the object of law enforcement. It also sustains the anti-smuggling polices’professional moral dignity.
