Ideal education to the adolescents is a in educational industry which has beenattracting widespread attention but has achieved little. By starting with the study on thecurrent status of the ideal education to the adolescents, and by analysing internal as wellas external factors of the formation and change of the adolescents’ ideals from theperspectives of psychology, socialogy and cultural anthropology, this dissertationattempts to explore the misunderstanding which exists in the current ideal education,and to find out how to go out of the misunderstanding. The dissertation holds the opnionthat, under multi-cultural background, changes have happened to the selection and valueidentity of the contemporary adolescents’ ideals, presenting the properties of beingoccupatiuonal, self-concerned and utilitarian. The reasons lie in the changes of theadolescents’ thoughts, of the social environment and of the social culture, and culture isthe driving force for the above-mentioned changes. As a sort of social phenomenon,social culture run through the whole process of the human society’s development. It isnot only the historical fact but also social reality. The core of the culture is valueconcept. Once the value concept has formed, it becomes a kind of force which willproduce continuous effect on the mode of thinking and the way of behavior. Theadolescents’ ideological understanding and the formation of their ideals as well as theimplementation of ideal education are unexceptionally affected by multi-culture.However, the effect is either positive or negative, which can not only develop theirattitude to the world, but also their attitude to their life and value concepts. Therelationship between culture and ideals is that the formation of the ideals is both theprocess of cultural infiltration and of culutural selection by individuals.This dissertation is quite different from those that discuss the issue of idealeducation from a macro-political angle, and takes every chance to get to the bottom ofwhy to teach rather than what and how to teach. The author tries to bring forward newperspectives and knowledge of ideal education by analyzing the law and course of itwith insight of the essence, from the angle of cultural anthropology, in the view ofnature of human and education. In this dissertation, the author puts forward the opinionthat the core of ideal education for adolescents is to help them develop themselves in anall-around way freely, not to inoculate them with big ambitions. In the multi-cultural society, we need to follow three rules when implementing ideal education foradolescents, rules of activity of ideality, sociality and social and cultural progress. As anactivity of education, ideal education of the adolescents is a continuous multi-layeredcourse, during which ideological and ethical standards ought to be improved, thebalance between knowledge and action can be achieved, and healthy personality can bestrengthened. The ultimate goal of ideal education is not to make the adolescents holdlofty and great worldly ideals, but to guide them to forge a healthy, positive view ofthemselves and the world, and handle the relationships between themselves and society,ideal and reality objectively and rationally. Thus they will have the courage to facesetbacks, the faith to pursue ideals and the will to brave storms.
