The Research Of People’s Spiritual Living Condition’s Problem And Suggestion During The Period Of Social Transformation

Spiritual life is the spirit system composed of people’s knowledge, belief,faith andideal, it supports of human’s emotion and reason, and being regarded as the source ofspiritual home and sustenance.Different people had different faith and beliefs, so asdifferent family and community. Currently our country is experiencing the period ofsocial transformation. On the one hand, with the social and economic life is becomingmore and more diverse, people’s ideas also change rapidly, their spiritual life also becharacterized by selective and diversity; on the other hand, due to the unperfecteddevelopment of China’s market economy, and the social values of western developedcountries widely spread, these all have make people inevitably fall into the swamp ofconsumerism or materialism. Landslide has appearing in people’s spiritual life, andwhich is becoming the accessories of economic development. The eighteen PartyCongress report clearly pointed out that “make the people enjoy healthy and richspiritual and cultural life”.Therefore, it is realistic and urgent to solve the currentproblems in people’s spiritual life.This paper make social transition background，people’s spiritual life as the mainline, use political science, economics, sociology and management science, comparativeanalysis and other disciplines theory as research methods, focus on the current China’speople’s spiritual living conditions of the problems and causes analysis, and then putsforward some suggestions and countermeasures to solve them.The first part, mainly discusses the properties, characteristics and the basicconnotation of the spiritual life, then points out the dialectical relationship between thespiritual and material life, which laid the theoretical basis for the next parts. The secondpart, mainly discusses the current social background and the change of people’s ideas.The third part, analyzed the main problems and reason in people’s spiritual life. First ofall, monetarism has caused people’s confusion of values such as property, friendship,family and so on. Secondly is the social moral landslide. A significant part of peopleexcessively pursuit of material wealth so that spiritual is disregard. Once again, our country is in the period of social transition, new social values are not completelyremoved, thus results in loss of people’s value system; finally, when the traditional eliteculture gradually substitutes for the mass culture and popular culture, it will inevitablylead to people’s spiritual life secularization. The causes of these phenomena are mainlydiscussed from four aspects: economic, political, and cultural and the personal reason.The fourth part puts forward the solutions to the problems that mentioned. First,vigorously develop the productive forces, in order to provide the material basis forpeople’s mental benefit; second, establish the socialist rule of law society, so that thepolitical environment is provided; third, optimize the culture environment. Fourth, usethe power of media to promote the right values. Finally, strengthen self-cultivation toimprove personal quality.
