Research On Zhang Shi-zhao’s Thoughts Of Federation

Qing dynasty is a complicated historical period. With the collapse ofprincipalities and the beginning of the republic of China, various political parties andtheories started their show. Zhang Shi-zhao was an active academic character on thestage. He was a radical revolutionaries, and then went to England studying westernconstitutional thoughts. He founded JiaYin magazine, to explore the country pathshowed amazing wisdom, perseverance and courage as a scholar. Zhang Shi-zhao’sconstitutional thoughts, especially the ideology, have significant meaning for thedevelopment of Chinese constitutional government.Zhang Shi-zhao’s federal constitutional thought research focused on identity andregime, such as relationship between central and local authorities on the founding ofthe mode and path selection. The word is focused on the establishment and structureform of state. Zhang shi-zhao advocated that federal didn’t have to be ahead of thestate;(2) the state is not in comparison with local groups but the difference betweenthe degree of power, and no fundamental principle of vision;(3) the federal need notrevolution but the force of public opinion. Zhang Shi-zhao’ thought on federalconstitutional in the1920s lead to a huge federal trend, and the trend of which in turnpromote the development of the united provinces autonomous movement. Althoughfederal trend and the provinces autonomous movement later had turned to be silentwith the rise of the may fourth movement, but this was the first time in the history ofChina trying to build the government by the people themselves, with the tide ofdemocracy in the world. Such attempts reflected people’s desire for the freedom of thedemocratic constitutionalism and strong and active exploration.This paper going with a logic main line, from the perspective of the socialbackground, a comprehensive analysis of the core content of Zhang Shi-zhao federalconstitutional thought and the development of the late change course, origin of ZhangShi-zhao federal constitutional thought development is analyzed.At the same time, thevarious federal thought positive comparison, thus draws the Zhang Shi-zhao federalconstitutional thought unique charm.
