Research On The Vietnam’s Cultural Construction Since The Reform And Opening

In the late1990s, the socialist system suffered the most serious setback in the history, the international communist movement fell into a trough, the fate of the socialist system has become the focus of the internation since then. In the recent years, more and more people see the vitality of socialism through the reform cause in the socialist countries, as one of the only socialist countries in the world, the cause of reform in Vietnam got more attention. The reform cause of Vietname which was started in1986covered all the fields, not only the economic and political system reform have achieved great achievements, but the cultural system reform has also made an impressive success, the cultural construction is in full swing. The systematic research on Vietname cultural construction since the reform and opening and experience learned from it will play an important role in other socialist countries’ cultural construction.This article is explained from five aspects on the principle, the background, theory and practice analysis, reflection and inspiration. Firstly, the analysis of the principle of socialist cultural construction, mainly focuses on two questions, the first question is the concept of culture, including the definition of culture made by foreign scholars、the ones raised by chinese scholars and the contents of ideological culture; the second question is the general principles on cultural construction proposed by classic Marxists, including the thoughts about cultural construction proposed by Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin. Secondly, the analysis of the background of the ideological cultural construction since the reform and opening, mainly focuses on the domestic and international factors, including the requirements of the reform and opening cause, the impact of the upheaval of the former Soviet union, the influence of economic globalization and information. The third part is the theoretical analysis on the ideological cultural construction since the reform and opening, which concentrates on the theoretical exploration and experience summary on the practices of the ideological cultural construction so as to lay the theoretical foundation for the following chapters, it includes the nature, function, characteristic, objective and principle of the ideological cultural construction. The fourth part analyzes the measures implemented in the ideological cultural construction since the reform and opening, the part mainly includes creating the national system of Marxist theory, cultivating "all Vietnamese nations community" spirit,"establishing and improving the Vietnamese personality、 values", creating "healthy life and lifestyle", preventing the erosion of the harmful cultures and boycotting "liberal" ideas. The last part has a general evaluation and analysis on the ideological cultural construction since the reform and opening, It summarizes the beneficial theoretical and practical explorations in the ideological cultural construction, analyzes the relevant experience and lessons and puts forward reasonable suggestions for the ideological cultural construction in other socialist countries, which is the final foothold of this essay.
