| Forest plays an essential role in our daily life, which is irreplaceable in all the aspects including ecology, sociology and economics; therefore, forest resources protection becomes one of the indispensable objectives of forestry law."Forestry Law of the People’s Republic of China"(hereinafter referred to as the "Forest Law"), which including Deforestation Management System, had played a significant role in the forest resources protection since it been implemented. However, the lag of legislation limits the implement of forest cutting management systems and the sustainable development of forestry, which causes issues in three dimensions:ecology, socio-economics and governance. This paper concentrates on discovering the limitations of Deforestation Management System (included in the "Forest Law"). By studying the existing advanced legislation in forestry-developed countries, amendments of "Forest Law" are recommended in terms of legislative concepts, legislative purpose and legislative contents, in order to improve legislation and the construction of ecological civilization. |
