Wuyuan Turmoil And Local Response In The Republic Of China(1920-1930)

From the regional perspective of social history, this paper hopes to study the accident to the local case of Wuyuan County located in the border area of Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangxi among the decade of the1920s, to explore variety of power groups in society how to response for turmoil.The subject of this article is divided into four chapters, The first chapter grasp Wuyuan local turmoil from a macro overview, first examine the situation in the history of Wuyuan turmoil in the longitudinal, case study turmoil of the1920s Wuyuan place in the lateral, then explore the adverse consequences of the turmoil caused by the local society to Wuyuan.The second chapter discusses the mechanism of local governments to deal with the turmoil. Local government has a strong dependence on the army, facing multiple constraints when using outside forces. Weak local defense forces lead local governments to lose the chance of initiative disposal crisis, and it indicates that the local government to deal with the turmoil are highly correlated to military forces.The Third chapter investigated the role of Chamber of Commerce in the accident. Through the contacts betwwen Wuyuan County Chamber of Commerce and various groups, examining its role that comprehensive network of organizations in the delivery of information.Under the critical moments, the local Chairman of Chamber of Commerce presides over the local situation.The study of County Chamber of Commerce shows that the deal with of accident need the participation from civil society.The fourth chapter analyzes the Association emblem of Huizhou how to response to the turmoil initiatives。Association emblem of Huizhou is far from the accident scene, so the rescue operations to home via the top line, namely that the appeal to authorities.Overall observation the local government, chambers of commerce and the Association emblem of Huizhou in local coping of turnoil, we can assertion that the level of local community dealing with the turmoil is still much room for improvement. It is that integration of and seek to unite all forces inside and outside,can the county effectively deal with the crisis.
