Contemporary China Provincial Administrative Division Research

Provincial administrative division is one of the local administrative system, it is an important part of the country’s political system, is also a form of redistribution of state power, the country with the system, it is also because the needs of economic and social development and adjustment.Province made to our country current the most fundamental and most important form of administrative organizational system, its setting is scientific, reasonable, greatly affects the administrative efficiency of government in our country, affecting the processing of the relationship between central and local authorities in China, is directly related to whether can the harmonious development between the central government and local government, related to people’s life stability, the consolidation of state power, and so on.This will need to give full consideration to the actual situation and to the provincial administrative divisions to make corresponding adjustment. State system is the earliest recorded in the western han dynasty, but really appeared in the yuan dynasty, so far there have been700years of history. After the founding of new China, our country has been in use of the late qing dynasty during the period of the republic of China province, while according to the actual situation of China made some adaptive adjustment, but as the economic, political, cultural and other various aspects continuously improve, the provincial administrative division of the current our country exists some problems is the fact that does not dispute.From the point of geopolitics, size, level, boundary and administrative center is the administrative division of the main four elements, this paper selected the four key elements as the research content. Paper first expounds the theoretical and practical significance of the provincial administrative area.Secondly, this paper discusses the relevant theories of administrative divisions, and further under the national to local management dimensions of administrative division and the relationship between the state power, to as a logical starting point, for the following on the provincial level administrative size, hierarchy, boundary and do theories of administrative center.Again, around the dimension for efficient management of the central government to the local provincial administrative size, hierarchy, boundary and administrative center respectively discussed and analyzed, on this basis, then expatiates on the provincial administrative division adjustment the necessity and importance of and challenges and reflection. Provincial administrative division adjustment in our country is a huge and complicated project, it is economic, cultural, political, and so on various aspects factors, especially to the provincial administrative division adjustment and change of state power has a great influence. From dimensions of state power, therefore, this paper argues that it is necessary to further study of provincial administrative divisions, namely by the provincial administrative size, hierarchy, boundary and administrative center of the four elements analysis the rationality of the provincial administrative divisions, to strengthen the effective management of national to local, to achieve the central and local, the harmonious development of the local and place.
