The Research On Boat People’s Identity Of Yunjiang Country Guangxi Province

Yunjiang County is developded by the port hub of Xiangzhou Town Laibin City Guangxi province. In the1950s ago, there are some people lived in the boat and lived by fishing and shipping, They are called "boat people" by surrounding shore residents. In1949the people’s Republic of China was founded, the people and the coastal regions was identified as Han, Yunjiang County "boat people" have gradually begun to living ashore. Since then, the spatial and temporal variations of Yunjiang County "boat people" identity also began to change.From the cultural anthropology’s eye, people have not only a kind of identity, based on different situations, people will choose more important identity to be present and appeal. In this paper,"boat people" institutional identity change as the cause of their identity, change and related problems. Based on the field investigation, reference to historical documents, the identity and other related theories, using ethnographic methods of participant observation, questionnaire survey, interview, to research the change of "boat people".The paper thinks,"boat people" is a multicultural population, the population did not form a community after ashore settlement, and live scattered in the local life, which makes them always in different forms to approach shore the social life and cultural environment of residents. As the blending them with shore residents’ cultural and life, the more impact on identity change of occupation choice and, especially in the current environment of market economy, to adapt to this change and culture, the "boat people" also bring a lot of problems, and if these problem can be got attention and guidance by government or non-governmental organizations, this will help in the development of local economy and culture stability.Through the study of Yunjiang County boat people’s identity and cultural changes, on the one hand it will be enrich the research on Dans, on the other hand, understand the boat people’s identity and the identity of diversity, for them to integrate into the local community to provide some reference.
